Radionics is a method of analysing and treating illness which, like absent healing, works at a distance.
Together with modern physics, Radionics regards "all as energy" and it uses
as basic to it's work the concept that the electromagnetic energy patterns of
the different life forms share a common ground with the electromagnetic energy
field of the Earth.
A Radionic practitioner can identify and measure distortions in these energy
patterns and so build a "blueprint" of the patient which incorporates his/her
mental emotional and physical aspects for analysis.
A Radionic analysis is not concerned with giving the patient's condition a name as a doctor does
when making a diagnosis. Rather it seeks to identify the underlying causes of the illness, which
act as blockages to the free flow of Life Energy, and relate these to the patient's symptoms.
Then, by appropriate treatment, the practitioner helps the patient to eliminate these causes which
results in a release of the patient's own natural healing energy.
The analysis can be used to discover the causes of functional and structural disturbances in the body.
It can also discover the state of the energy centres, or Chakras, which provides a deeper understanding
of the psychological or mental/emotional causes behind illness.
Radiance treatment is therefore particularly valuable for people who understand that illness arises from
disturbances affecting them as a whole, and that a fundamental change will be needed to heal the
cause of their problem.
Treatment is given by directing corrective energy patterns through Radionic instruments. These patterns may be those of the antidote to infections, the healthy functioning pattern of organs,
homeopathic, flower, gel and colour remedies, psychological states, and any other factor that appears
necessary.
Radionics always seeks to restore harmony by whichever way suits the individual best, and it
works both in the directly curative and the human potential fields. The practitioner may therefore
suggest additions or alternatives to Radionic treatment.
All that is needed for an analysis is a small sample of hair and a completed case history form.

Practitioners of many different branches of natural medicine are becoming increasingly interested in the
application of touch, not as manipulative or postural processes for specific physical effect, but as a way of
transmitting or arousing healing forces.
Applied Kinesiology, one such system, is based on muscle testing
techniques through which weaknesses are identified and treated, thereby correcting imbalances in the body's
energy systems.
While applied Kinesiology is practised by professionals, the aim of Touch For Health practitioners
is to teach the skills of professional Kinesiologists to members of the lay public who are interested in preventive
health care. In practical terms Kinesiology has affinities with therapies such as Chiropractic and Massage, whilst
sharing the basic premises of Acupuncture and Shiatsu about energy.
There is a sense in which all forms of manipulative and postural therapy, acupuncture and acupressure
and the "laying on of hands" can all be described as kinesiotherapies. But applied Kinesiology most often
refers to methods introduced by Dr. George Goodheart, a Chiropractor from Detroit, who stumbled
across the new principles by accident. He discovered that some of the standard muscle tests he
used provided clues to the workings of the entire body. Goodheart went on to teach his findings to other
Chiropractors, one of whom taught Brian Butler who introduced Touch For Health into Britain.
The assumption used to be that the main muscular trouble-makers in back-ache and associated
disorders were muscles which were either in spasm or too taut, thus affecting the spine. In the
mid-1960's, however, Goodheart began to work on a different idea. It might not be muscle tension or
tautness that was responsible, he surmised, but rather (as Dr. J.F. Thie and Mary Marks put it in their
book "Touch For Health") that it was "weak muscles on the opposite side (of the body) which caused
the normal muscles to seem to be, or to become, tight. " Combining Eastern ideas about energy flow
with his own Chiropractic techniques and other sources, Goodheart developed his new system in
which muscle activation techniques are used to correct imbalances which have been identified by a
method of muscle testing.
The distinguishing characteristic of Applied Kinesiology and Touch For Health, then, is the search for
muscle imbalance so that it can be corrected. Clues will be looked for in the taking of your case
history - Kinesiologists often find that symptoms are related to muscle weakness - headaches for
example can be traced back to problems with the neck muscles. The aim, however, is not so much
to correct individual weaknesses as to restore balance to the body.
Practitioners of Kinesiology vary considerably in their methods, some relying solely on techniques
specific to it, others using it occasionally as an adjunct to, say, Chiropractic. Muscle tests are carried
out while you are lying down. The therapist usually works first on one side of the body and then the
other to detect the differences. Tiny imbalances of muscle tone will be corrected as they are found by
using touch or pressure on the appropriate points.
Applied Kinesiology can be used for diagnosis in connection with other types of therapy, and for
treatment when the diagnosis points to it. Kinesiologists claim that they do not rely on a knowledge
of symptoms in the usual clinical sense since the patient's muscles provide them with all the
information they need. They have achieved considerable success in allergy cases, particularly with
food allergies.
Touch For Health is designed specifically for lay people to learn Kinesiology techniques so that they
can detect and rectify muscle imbalances for themselves. The best way to learn Touch For Health
is to take a short course.
This does not enable people to practise as professional therapists but will
provide a sound foundation for the domestic use of Kinesiology techniques.
